Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Before I started the program, I was a couch potato and ate horribly! I felt horrible about myself and the way I looked. I had no confidence, my clothes kept getting bigger and bigger, and I just didn’t feel comfortable with my body.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
Following my Beachbody Coach, Sara Hassel, inspired me to get started in my fitness journey and to stick with it! Once I started seeing results, I knew this was something I could stick with! It made me see that not everyone is perfect, but if you try your best, you will get a positive outcome!
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
One of my greatest challenges was eating right. I loved eating junk food and drinking soda! With the MAX:30 food guide and the 21 Day Fix portion-control containers, I learned the proper way to eat in the right portions. The biggest thing that helped to overcome my binge eating was that I could still eat things that tasted amazing! It was so exciting to me that eating healthy didn’t mean eating bland, boring foods… it was just the opposite!
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
MAX:30 is just so much fun! Shaun T is so motivating and makes you want to keep going even though it’s difficult!
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
I have done three rounds of MAX:30 and am now down 24 pounds and tons of inches! I’m proud that I stuck to the program. I’m proud that even though I failed a few times, I continued to push and still get the results!
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
I have so much more energy. I have two kids, so that is important! I crave less junk food… and I’m learning to like and enjoy more and more healthy foods! I want to engage in active things and I want to help other people to feel this happiness of being healthy!
How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable?
Being in a group kept me accountable because everyone was super motivating and supportive. We pushed each other and shared our goals, meal plans, and workout schedules.
How did your Team Beachbody Coach support you on your journey?
My Coach was always there if I had any questions. She gave advice on how she lives her day-to-day life, and most importantly, she was just real. She would be completely honest if she felt that I could improve with my eating or commit more to the workouts! That was super helpful!
