Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
When I retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service, I was in pretty good shape. My life continued to be busy after leaving the military. Me and the wife finally found out we were going to have our first child. Then I got a call that my dad had passed away suddenly. I was a mess. The next year passed, and I became super unhealthy. I was just trying to survive. Then it happened, like a light switch: I had to get back into shape. 22 Minute Hard Corps was a perfect fit for a military vet with not much time to work out.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
Once my son was born, things got hectic quick. I didn’t put on a lot of weight per the scale, but I had lost muscle and put on lots of belly fat. I needed to get healthy for my newborn son.
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody help you overcome that challenge?
I was out of shape big time. Going up a few flights of steps was taxing. This was new territory for me. I was in the worst physical shape of my life.
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
22 Minute Hard Corps gave me the benefits of a longer program in only 22 minutes. Sometimes I would put my son to bed at 8:30 PM and head down to the basement to work out at 9 PM, and by 9:30 PM I was finished. When I worked out in the AM, I started at 5:30 AM and was finished by 6 AM.
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?
I’ve been able to see significant fat loss while completing the program.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
Increased energy. Also, during a recent health check-up my company pays for its employees, the doctor said I had the blood work and other fitness numbers of a man half my age. What a great feeling hearing that from a doctor.
